• Effectively design the product for Carrier Transicold globally to the achievement of business and marketing targets.
• Conduct part and system level analysis/Calculation to ensure robustness of design proposals (compliance with all relevant specifications or standard, power consumption analysis, air flow / calculation / simulation, etc).
• In charge of specification, selection, evaluation of various refrigeration components (such as compressors, valves, evaporator, condenser, piping, etc)
• Research technical information from internet, market or institution.
• Work with Quality team to determine appropriate level of component, system, and/or life testing to verify the designs.
• Build prototypes/samples as needed and perform related tests and analysis.
• Accurately estimate time for design tasks. Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure project cost and schedule constraints accurately, considering required engineering efforts.
• Understand and articulate technical risks and design margin throughout process, ensuring that project Manager understands and is aware of new risks as they arise.
• Review designs with cross functional team and suppliers and release final design documentation.
• Ensure all design documentation throughout process is clear, thorough, and stored in the appropriate data repository.
• Effectively lead the design the product for Carrier Transicold globally to the achievement of business and marketing targets.
