Report To: National Sales GM, RLC
Position Overview
The Retail Sales Director is responsible for leading and optimizing RLC China’s retail sales and channels strategies, operations, driving both sell-in and sell-out revenue behind our multi-brands and multi-subchannels businesses in retail channels, ensuring margin targets are met, and enhancing channel performance. This role is pivotal in executing RLC’s retail strategy, expanding market share, and building sustainable growth through effective channel management, people management and sales excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement robust multi-brands and multi-channels sales strategies to achieve and exceed sell-in and sell-out revenue targets across all retail channels.
Formulate the geographical, regional (provincial and cities) and store channels priorities and investment choices to maximize our profitable and sales
Optimize sales out processes, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize retail performance and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and channel dynamics to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
Channel Management & Enhancement
Strengthen relationships with key channel partners, ensuring alignment with RLC’s brand and operational standards.
Drive local adaptation of retail strategies to meet regional market needs and optimize channel profitability.
Revenue & Margin Assurance
Ensure margin targets are achieved through effective pricing and product mix management.
Collaborate with finance, product and brand marketing teams to monitor profitability and implement corrective actions as needed.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing retail sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional development for team members.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, operations, and HR to drive sales excellence.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
Utilize sales data and KPIs to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive actionable insights.
Prepare regular reports for senior management on sales performance, channel effectiveness, and market trends.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in retail sales management, preferably in the China market.
Proven track record in sales strategy development, channel management, and margin optimization.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience managing large, diverse teams and driving transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with retail analytics tools and multi-store/channel management.
