Sales Account Manager - Food China

POSITION OVERVIEW/ PURPOSE
Responsible for the sales of Sensitech integrated data management systems, real-time IoT cargo monitoring, and traditional temperature-monitoring devices that provide customized in-transit solutions & programs for the food supply chain market in China.
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for retaining the current allocated customer base & generating new business by employing goal-orientated strategy and execution to meet revenue objectives.
Role Priorities:
- Sales technique that is client-focused, consultative, and "solution-based."
- Execute a sales strategy and plan for the assigned region in China
- Client engagement – face to face meetings
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES, BUT ARE NOT LIMTED TO:
Achieve yearly revenue budget objectives targets and other critical performance metrics by:
- Identifying and prospecting new large domestic customers in China's food supply chain market
- Penetrate existing accounts aggressively and maximize their potential.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers in China and support the existing assigned customer base.
- Develop a solid understanding of the customer's temperature-sensitive applications, supply chain operations, requirements and challenges
- Capable of working with a limited amount of resources and making sound decisions on Sensitech behalf.
- Capable of successfully managing time effectively in order to increase sales productivity
- They are empowered to reach challenging goals in a short period.
- Provide weekly updates on sales activity reports and planned weekly whereabouts for the following week.
- Responsibilities include managing the entire sales cycle and maintaining an accurate record of activities in Salesforce.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Self-starter who is aggressive and has a proven record of sales success
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or business or an equivalent combination of education with 10 years' previous experience selling food supply chain solutions or real-time IoT services to the food Logistics/distribution or Supermarket sectors
- Experience in the food industry, quality control or distribution and knowledge of Chinese food safety standards are strongly preferred.
- Capable of presenting and demonstrating the advantages of Sensitech temperature-sensitive products & real-time IoT integrated data solutions.
- Capable of delivering customized solutions based presentations and product demonstrations to current customers and new business opportunities
- Capable of working together with others as a member of an Asia Pacific Food sales team both inside the designated group and cross-functional teams
- Must be comfortable with their total package having a 40% variable component to their compensation, i.e. Sales Commission
- English & Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) fluency, both oral/written, is necessary.
- American or Western business experience is preferable but not essential.
- Knowledge of professional sales approaches through proven sales training courses.
- Extensive travel inside China accounting for up to 75% of the time

- Be the trusted cold chain resource to the customer and develop expertise in Sensitech real-time IoT technologies and data analytical solutions
- Embrace & utilize Salesforce as a tool - Sales activity input, customer review & visibility
- Understanding cold chain & refrigeration trends, Carrier corporate policies and the importance of self-education
- Become Knowledgeable of the competitors operating in the region
