About the role

As a software testing engineer, he/she will be involved in the whole test process, including test case design and review, test execution of commercial HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and building equipment embedded control software, with opportunities for automated test execution and development.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Software Testing Engineer, she or he will be responsible for:

• Work in SQA team, develop and execute system level test cases for commercial HVAC, and building control systems.

• Develop automation scripts to perform unit and end-to-end system testing.

• Develop strategy and executes stress and performance tests to ensure product reliability.

• Document test results and document defects into the defect tracking system.

• Suggest ways to improve process and methodologies within the test department.

• Follow good software engineering processes, including iterative development.

• test driven development, unit tests, source code control, inspections and reviews.

• Collaborate with a cross functional team including development and system team regarding control software requirements ( SSRD and SRS).

• Support the lab and field site real equipment testing and trouble shooting.

• Work with global SQA team on test automation tools and approach deployment.

• Other work items arranged by the supervisor.

Requirements

We are looking for the candidates who are meeting the following requirements.

As a minimum must have:

• Bachelor or above education background

• Majority not specified, prefer computer science and related majority

• Above five years of experience in software testing environment with structured process, solid logic and debugging skills

• Experience in modern defect tracking and management system (DevOps, IBM Jazz, etc.,)

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile methodologies will be a plus)

• Should have test automation experience

• Solid skills on office software, python, Simulink, prefer pytest experience

• Good verbal and written skills in English

• Highly motivated, customer focused

• High responsibility, better attitude and teamwork spirit

• Solid presentation and communication skills

• Team player, will have extensive interaction with development team
