About the role
Scope of work
The primary responsibility of the position is the engineering development of chiller electrical technologies. In this capacity, the engineer will be primarily responsible to develop solutions that best meet chiller system requirements. To do this, the engineer must have a strong understanding of the electrical function of commercial air conditioning product and compression application.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Develop chiller electrical system that meets the product development requirements in collaboration with chiller system engineer. Electrical system includes control panel, power box, VFD integration, cable harness, sensors and actuators and other electrical components.
- Validate electrical function and components reliability in the laboratory and field
- Investigate, analyze and correct the problem and Issue which is found at the lab or job site.
- Collaborate with supply chain to meet electrical function cost target
- Collaborate with quality team to lead the qualification plan and tests
- Collaborate with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement design into production
Requirements
- As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor or above degree with major in electrical or related area
- HVAC industry experience preferred
- Over 5 years’ experience on electrical design for electromechanical equipment
- Skilled in using Auto-CAD or similar drawing tools
- Fluent English (both written and spoken)
- Teamwork skills required
- Self-motivated and quick to learn
- Other competencies
- Be familiar with low voltage electrical components application.
- Good knowledge on electrical safety standard and relative tests.
