About the role
The primary responsibility of the position is the engineering development of chiller electrical technologies. In this capacity, the engineer will be primarily responsible to develop solutions that best meet product requirements. To do this, the engineer must have a fully competency of the electrical system design and VFD integration of electromechanical equipment based on new product development process.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Develop chiller electrical system autonomously that meets the product requirements in collaboration with cross functional teams. Electrical system includes control panel, power box, VFD integration, cable harness, sensors and actuators and other electrical components.
- Expertised in DFMEA of electrical functions, VFDs and other major components. Fully skilled in electrical design and verification based on DFMEA.
- Capable to design and proceed tests. Proficient in using test tools and devices.
- Fully skilled on trouble shooting and problem resolving with RRCA method and tools.
- Familiar with ME and process control to ensure design and product safety and quality.
- Collaborate with program manager and/or engineering leader to deliver electrical design deliverables based on project schedule. Capable on risk management.
- Collaborate with supply chain to achieve best cost.
- Collaborate with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement design into production
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor or above degree with major in electrical or related area
HVAC industry experience is preferred
Power and control panel mechanical and structural design experience is preferred
Thermal CFD simulation ability is preferred- Over 5 years experience on electrical design of electromechanical equipment development.
