Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.
About the role
- We are seeking a skilled Embedded Engineer who can contribute across both firmware development and hardware (circuit design and testing). The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing embedded firmware and applications for our hardware products. Experience in digital signal processing (DSP) is preferred. Additionally, the candidate should possess solid hardware engineering capabilities, including schematic design, PCB‑level understanding, and hands‑on hardware validation and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test embedded software for microcontrollers (e.g., Ti C2000, ARM Cortex‑M, ESP32, PIC, STM32).
- Design, implement, and test DSP algorithms or circuits for filtering, spectral analysis applications.
- Develop firmware in C/C++, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Integrate embedded software with hardware components, sensors, communication modules, and peripherals.
- Design and review schematics using tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD.
- Use measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power measurement tools.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to refine circuits, improve robustness, and resolve issues.
- Debug and analyze embedded systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD, etc.
- Develop and maintain device drivers, communication protocols (UART, SPI, Ethernet, etc.).
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Foundational knowledge of DSP topics including: Sampling theory, Fourier transforms, FIR/IIR filters and also Spectral estimation, signal modeling, modulation.
- Foundational knowledge of amplifier characters and familiar with regular amplifier circuits design and analyzing.
- Solid understanding of microcontroller architecture, registers, interrupts, and low‑level drivers.
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools and test equipment.
- Knowledge of embedded development workflows, version control (Git), and build systems (CMake, Make).
- Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, etc.) or bare‑metal programming.
- Python or shell scripting for automation and testing.
- Experience with continuous integration (CI), unit testing frameworks, and static analysis tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity for embedded devices.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate in cross‑functional teams.
