About the role

Scope of work

Lead the team to develop and deploy state-of-the-art modeling tools and model-based development workflow that workflow to enable Carrier’s global engineering centers for air-conditioning and refrigeration component and system design, and promote Carrier sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Establish the individual competency development plan for every team member to enable the win for each constituent as well as a win for the Carrier corporation.
• Provide heat transfer and thermodynamics expertise and guidance, enable team member to develop and deploy state of the art modeling and simulation tool, to boost the development of next generation high efficiency and environmentally friendly HVAC/R systems and increasement of sales revenue as well.
• Develop and execute detailed project plans to ensure on time delivery with quality.
• Communicate with Marketing, Product Engineering, and global teams in understanding customer needs from different perspectives, and translate to specific group target , lead the team to carry out to the ground.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

Qualification & Requirement

Education / Work experience

• BS degree in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning, power Engineering, fluid machinery or engineering mechanics with 15+ year working experience.
• MS degree in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning, power Engineering, fluid machinery or engineering mechanics with 10+ year working experience.
• PhD degree in in thermal, refrigeration and air-conditioning, power Engineering, fluid machinery or engineering mechanics with 8+ year working experience.

Technical certification

• Propose and enable team members to deliver the stakeholder requested artifacts (including but not limited to, model, calculation engine, software tool, etc.), in collaboration with Carrier global share centers in Hyderabad, Syracuse and Montreal.
• Assist MASC team leader to identify the HVAC&R industry dynamic and initiate creative value-adds and revenue growth opportunity for business
• Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, calculus and numerical analysis
• 5+ years of team management experience
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills in a global team
• Ability to collaborate across functions.
• Programming experience in Modelica, Python, C++, C#, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience of developing/implementing algorithms in solving large nonlinear algebraic equation systems or differential equation systems are required.
• Engineering experience in design or application of HVAC/R or Power plant equipment.
