About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lean & CX Manager to drive continuous improvement, optimize operational efficiency, and cultivate a culture of Lean excellence across our organization. The successful candidate will be a change agent responsible for leading the implementation and sustainment of Lean methodologies, ensuring cost reduction, quality enhancement, and lead time reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be responsible for:
- Lean Strategy & Implementation:
- Develop, deploy, and execute the organization’s Lean strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals (e.g., increased throughput, reduced waste, improved safety).
- Lead the implementation of core Lean tools, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, Kanban, and Poke-Yoke (Mistake Proofing).
- Continuous Improvement Leadership:
- Identify, prioritize, and manage a pipeline of continuous improvement projects (Kaizen events) across manufacturing, supply chain, and administrative functions.
- Facilitate workshops and Kaizen blitzes, ensuring clear metrics, successful implementation, and post-event sustainment checks.
- Training & Mentorship:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive Lean training programs for all levels of employees, from floor staff to senior management.
- Coach and mentor Green Belts, Black Belts, and departmental supervisors on problem-solving techniques (e.g., A3, PDCA, 8D).
- Performance Monitoring:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Labor efficiency , and inventory turns.
- Maintain accountability for project results and report progress and savings to executive leadership.
- Culture Building:
- Champion a site-wide culture of continuous improvement where waste elimination is everyone's responsibility.
- Promote best practice sharing across different functional areas and sites.
Requirements
As a minimum you must have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience successfully implementing Lean manufacturing or business process improvement within a relevant industry (e.g., automotive, electronics, heavy machinery).
- Proven track record of leading significant, measurable improvements in cost, quality, and delivery.
- Certifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or similar certification.
- Project Management certification (PMP) is desirable.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Deep expertise in Lean principles and tools (VSM, SMED, TPM, Cellular Flow).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities (statistical analysis, root cause identification).
- Proficiency in process mapping software and Microsoft Office Suite
