- GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
We’re seeking an experienced high-energy Purchasing/Sourcing candidate with a passion for Supply Chain & Logistics. The ideal candidate is self-directed, work independently and is capable of managing & prioritizing multiple-tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have strong supplier and/or customer negotiation skills. Sales and marketing experience are also desired.
The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for managing the existing product portfolio, new product introduction activities, including but not limited to product readiness, quality, delivery, cost and supply chain integrity. This is a cross functional role with responsibility for project management and accountability for deadlines, results and metrics. Seamless collaboration with sales, product management, manufacturing, planning, warehousing, logistics, quality, engineering and finance personnel is essential.
Requirements also include supporting the Asian sourced Ductless & VRF finished goods product line for Carrier and Private Label channel by issuing purchase orders to suppliers as well as providing delivery assurance and supplier management responsibilities. Duties include, but are not limited to purchase order placement, inventory planning, vendor delivery assurance, and private label direct shipment order maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides local tactical support for NA Ductless & VRF Sourced Products focusing on contract negotiation, cost reduction programs, quality, on time delivery, warranty, new product development, purchase order maintenance and payment. - Serve as the main contact and subject matter expert for all product and supplier relationships in the category, managing multiple supplier relationships (buy/resale, contract manufacturers, JV partners) through strategic planning, product roadmaps, and RFQs.
- Collaborate with JV partners via meetings and site visits to provide production visibility and address constraints. Identify supply-demand gaps and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Assist with supply chain activities, including SAP updates, forecasting, purchase orders, receipts, and scheduling, while optimizing total cost of ownership through global platform collaboration.
- Conduct supplier visits and support quality efforts in supplier qualification and production part approvals (ISO, Q+, PPAP, FAI, ProCert).
- Manage private label direct ship program, including order placement, tracking, and customer communication.
- Maintain supplier KPIs and provide regular performance reports to the leadership team for monthly performance reviews. Use data insights to inform decision-making and optimize supply chain operations.
- Conduct ad-hoc supply chain analysis for sales, finance, and management.
REQUIRED Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- 4+ years of combined working experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing. Engineering, Business, Marketing, and/or Operations Logistics
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
- Travel up to up 15% to Thailand and Japan (Tokoyo)
- Weekly onsite visits to the factory are required. Candidate should be in decent proximity to factory in Guangzhou
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of related supply chain experience with emphasis on forecasting, planning and inventory management
- MBA/MS degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management
- Strong working knowledge of SAP or other comparable ERP system is required
- Supply chain experience dealing with Asian manufacturers is highly desirable
- CTPAT knowledge and global transportation experience is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
- Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations
- Demonstrates self-initiative, sense of ownership, quality, and customer satisfaction orientation
- Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset
- Strong ability to work in diverse, cross functional, global project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment
- Data analysis and visualization experience (Tableau or Power BI preferred)
- Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
